,about all dimensions‘ is a series of works, in which Wenzel deals with the demolition of the first prefabricated building in Halle-Silberhöhe in 2001. The political failure, which manifests itself in the history of the building, illustrates the unresolved structural break of the post-reunification period and shows how economic rationalization has inscribed itself in the satellite towns of the GDR, their architecture and their inhabitants.
With the musical translation of all the measurements found in the archived floor plans, Wenzel attempts to trace the echo that the apartment block has left behind in the city and the collective memory. The notation was played on the grand piano by Nadine Klusacsek, technically compressed, and recorded onto vinyl.

‚über alle maße‘ ist eine Werkgruppe, in der sich Wenzel mit dem Abriss des ersten Plattenbaus 2001 in Halle-Silberhöhe beschäftigt. Das politische Scheitern, das sich in der Geschichte des Gebäudes manifestiert, veranschaulicht den unbewältigten Strukturbruch der Nachwendezeit und zeigt, wie sich ökonomische Rationalisierungen in die Trabantenstädte der DDR, ihre Architektur und ihre Bewohner:innen eingeschrieben hat.
Anhand eines automatisierten, digitalen Notensatzprogramms wurden alle im Grundriss- und Aufbauplan erfassten Maße des abgerissenen Wohnblocks in Töne übersetzt. Die Notation wurde anschließend von Nadine Klusacsek auf dem Flügel eingespielt, technisch verdichtet und auf Schallplatte gepresst. Mit der musikalischen Übersetzung versucht die Soundskulptur den Nachhall aufzuspüren, den der Wohnblock in der Stadt und im kollektiven Gedächtnis hinterlassen hat.
Das Projekt wurde von der Kunststiftung des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt und der Kloster Bergesche Stiftung gefördert.

In „€1,000 / 1582 m²,“ Wenzel utilizes the auction listing image of the property as the motif for postcards. These postcards are available for purchase by visitors for €1 each. The number of postcards – and thus the sales value – corresponds to the minimum bid of the auction. With each sale, the paper block will be both dissolved and redistributed. The proceeds from sales will benefit the non-profit project #hotspot ARBEITsPLATTE.

In ,€1,000 / 1582 m²‘ verwendet Wenzel das Anzeigenbild der Zwangsversteigerung des Grundstücks als Postkartenmotiv. Die Postkarten können von Besucher:innen für 1 € erworben werden. Die Anzahl der Karten – und damit der Verkaufswert – entspricht dem Mindestgebot der Auktion. Mit jedem Verkauf wird der Papierblock sowohl aufgelöst als auch neu verteilt. Der Erlös geht an das gemeinnützige Projekt #hotspot ARBEITsPLATTE.
